Spring time always brings about a new sense of energy for me.
Maybe it’s the fresh rainy days mixed with the warm sunshiny ones that bring out the chirping birds, blooming flowers, and new leaves on the trees. Maybe it’s the mark of the beginning of another year of my life as my birthday pops up in May. There is always something new that inspires us to think, act, and try with a revitalized energy that had been lying dormant during the winter months.
With this new spring energy, I have decided to try something new. I’m going to start a massage blog! I am setting myself the goal to post a new blog twice a month that will appear on my website and on my business Facebook page. I say this with intent, despite my initial hesitations about writing. One, I do not think of myself as a writer. I actually find it difficult at times to come up with my monthly e-newsletters. Two, I do not know of any other local massage therapists that writes a regular blog, which means I am venturing into new territory not only for myself, but amongst my colleagues.
Writing a regular massage blog will be a challenge for me, but I like a good challenge. It motivates us, it keeps our minds sharper, and it expands our outlooks on life. There is a saying that I often hear and think about; “life begins at the end of your comfort zone“. I have often interpreted that saying to mean “only when we step outside our comfort zone do we achieve greatness.” It is how one grows and evolves. With the positive encouragements that I received when I first started to talk about this idea to blog about massage, health, and wellness with loved ones, peers, and a few clients, I have made the decision to blog for you all. I welcome and encourage your feedback. Any questions you may have, topics you want to know more about, or thoughts about massage, health, and wellness you want to discuss, please let me know. I invite your ideas and inputs. I do not want to write just what I think you want to read about, but what you actually want to learn more about.
Cheers to new, revitalized, growth inspiring beginnings!
